Importing your goods

Immigrants and holders of a temporary residence permit may import their personal property without payment of import duties and VAT (excluding alcoholic beverages and tobacco products). An inventory of the property and the residence permit must be manufactured at customs.

For example, foreign students and employees with a contract will also be eligible if they (temporarily) change their place of residence. These households (with the exception of weapons, ammunition and motor vehicles) do not need an import license. Read more.
